See below: Rest to allow the injured muscles and tissues time to heal, and water to re-hydrate the body and help eliminate lactic acid.

Rest.: If you're spent from too much training, rest. Even if you lay off training for a few days altogether, you'll return stronger than ever. Train to stimulate, not decimate.
