Yes!: Stimulant medication should not be taken when one is pregnant. It can induce premature labor. There are other risks to the fetus also including withdrawal in the newborn shortly after birth when the medication is no longer being delivered to the child. Maybe: There is no definite answer to that question. The fda lists it as 'category c' which means that there either were no animal or human studies, or that animal studies showed effects on the fetus, but there have been no controlled human studies. You and your doctors should weigh the potential risks against the benefits.
