Neuropathy for life: Neuropathy has a variety of causes but diabetes is the most common. Gabapentin is typically used for painful neuropathy. Consult with your doctor to better manage your glucose and/or possibly go to an alternative medication for painful neuropathy.

Pain relief: From what I am gathering from your question, you seem to have severe neuropathy. I would consider seeing possible a surgical podiatrist or general surgeon with a fellowship in nerve surg. They could perform a nerve decompression which has worked on many of my patients and decrease pain sometime 80 percent . Or more conservative try the new pain lasers from cutting edge. Change in meds might help t.
