Relax: Your odds of being pregnant after a year of trying are still pretty good. It's often recommended to see a fertility specialist if you don't conceive after a year. That's a reasonable approach. But even without any intervention, most couples in that situation would conceive within a couple of years.

Give it more time: Most of us advise couples under 35 to give it up to a year to conceive. If you are really anxious, over 35 or have irregular cycles, you could wait till just 6 months.
