NO!: I doubt one physician prescribed both to you. They are the same medication in different strengths. Do not take them together as you may overdose.

Yes: The medicine in vicodin works on different pain receptors than ibuprofen. In addition, Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory where vicodin is not.
