If you are having: Surgery, and you have a personal history of malignant hyperthermia, the best thing you can do is speak directly with the anesthesiologist or medical director of the facility where the procedure is planned and let them know you have a history of malignant hyperthermia. The anesthetic plan will need to be modified to protect you, and this usually takes a couple days preparation on their part.
