A member asked:

What is aids and what can you do to prevent it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

AIDS or acquired: Immunodeficiency syndrome is an illness caused by the progression destruction of part of the human immune system by the human immunodeficiency virus. It is transmitted from person to person via sexual exposure (especially in male to male circumstances and not efficiently heterosexually) and from blood transfusion or needle sticks from contaminated blood. Safe sex is best for protection.
