Does testing for food allergies in children painful?

No: The pain is minimal with skin testing, similar testing can be done with a blood test which requires some blood being withdrawn with a needle.

Can't really answer: The cost of food allergy testing will vary depending upon what is tested for, how it is tested ( skin test vs blood work) and how many tests are done.
