Antibiotic ointment: Many patients on Accutane develop chapped lips, and often the inflamed skin develops a secondary bacterial infection. Try Bacitracin or polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) ointment (avoid neomycin-containing antibiotics) three times daily, and plain vaseline the rest of the time to protect the chapped skin from further moisture loss.
