What are the reasons that people get nose bleeds?

Many reasons: Most common reason is local trauma from nose picking. The area on your septum has very superficial blood vessels. Other reasons include very thin blood, as in those taking blood thinners or aspirin. Another reason can be high blood pressure chronically.
