Irrigate and be seen: Irrigation is important when chemicals come in contact with the eye. Continuous irrigation with water is the best first step. Bleach is a strong base and can continue to damage the eye even if it is not red. The best thing to do is continuous irrigation and examination from an eye doctor soon after the injury.
