Not an internet ?: We can't examine you. If your dentist said it's not related to your teeth, maybe see another dentist or your physician. It could be anything. There are just so many possibilities: dental, medical, combo? No one over the internet can diagnose your problem.

TMJ?: This sounds like it could be some type of tmj/tmd issue. I would recommend that you see a dentist/oral surgeon/orthodontist who treats tmj/tmd.

Yes: Could be from strain/sprain, infected i tonsils/ virus, etc. See physician to rule out. Could be from TMJ (temporomandibular joint) syndrome or mfp (myofaciail pain dysfunction) syndrome. As malocclusion often causes or contributes to these problems, visit to orthodontist may be in order.
