A heart monitor? : Unless you have a fetal monitor a traditional heart monitor can not be used to hear a fetal heart beat. Try repeating the pregnancy test. If you really think you are hearing a fetal heart beat you need to see a doctor to clear this up.

Heart rate: Your heart rate could have a number of causes including error of the monitor. An early pregnancy would not cause a high heart rate and even a late pregnancy would not do that. In short there are lots of reasons why the monitor could have read the 140 rate but pregnancy is not likely one of them.
