What are the do's and don'ts for a 19 year old unmarried high blood pressure female patient?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Care for you: Don't smoke. Maintain healthy weight. Go to aha website and learn about low salt diet. Part is not your fault. High BP at your age is often inherited. I bet you know family members who died too soon. You can change that by caring for yourself and keeping a normal bp. If this is not possible with advice above then start meds. Your np should be less than 135 on top. Good luck.
