A member asked:

What might happen to a diabetic patient if her glucose level is 7.0 and pulse 80, although feeling very weak?

Depends on the cause: A glucose of 7.0 mmol/liter (126 mg/dl) is in a pretty good range. A heart rate of 80 is also in the normal range. Neither of these explain why someone would feel weak. There are too many possible causes of weakness to address here; this should be discussed with a doctor who has a chance to examine you and ask follow-up questions.

Get evaluated: There are many causes of weakness, which may not be related to your diabetes. The numbers you report are normal. Since some causes of weakness can be serious (and will not show up as abnormal glucose or pulse), so see your md for an evaluation.
