A member asked:

What do yellow bloodshot eyes mean (not due to alcoholism or smoking)?

Viral hepatitis: And other infections can cause yellow eyes. Some darker skinned people have pigment in their eyes that is normal. If someone has no pain and develops yellowing of skin or eyes over a shorter time, further tests should be done.

Liver: Whenever the white part of your eyes becomes yellow the liver must be checked. Besides alcoholism this can occur with infections or inflammation of the liver including the viruses like Hepatitis A, B, C. Get checked right away!
