Yellowing of eyes: Yellowing of the eyes is a sign of Jaundice.which usually comes from liver or Bile duct diseases. Smoking alone usually is not the cause . But please have him evaluated for proper diagnosis and treatment.If he is drinking alcohol , that needs to be stopped.
