Get checked: I would probably be seen. It may be just a simple soft tissue injury and is not uncommon when patients grab the steering wheel tightly before impact. Medico legally, it is probably best to be seen and have it documented so that, if it doesn't resolve and has to be worked up in the future, there is no question it was caused by the accident.
