Not normally: A strain or tear of the gluteus minimus maybe painful but does not require surgery. It will heal in 4-8 weeks. Then physical therapy to stretch (as tolerated) and strengthen the muscle. Now if you are talking about an injury of the gluteus minimus tendon: yes there are surgeries to repair t if chronically symptomatic.

Yes: The vast majority of them heal on their own, but in the fairly rare case they do not, they can definitely be repaired. Thank you for the question.

Usually resolve: Surgery for this is uncommon unless the tear is large and won't heal with time, physical therapy. Not easy surgery on the patient.

Muscle tears are : Generally not repaired in that they should heal together due to good blood supply. It sounds as if you may be making your own diagnosis. If in severe pain or pain that radiates u may have more going on. Muscle is hard to sew and high blood supply in muscle males healing more rapid than ligaments and cartlidge. Gd luck.

Sure: Most tendon tears can be fixed including gluteus tears. Some authors are even describing arthroscopic/endoscopic options. However the indications (why it should be fixed) and what are the outcomes (how much will it help you) are very unclear in the current literature. I would have to say that most surgeons would not recommend repair of isolated minimus tears, but discus this with your surgeon.
