Possibly, unclear.: Two studies have suggested an association between the presence of a varicocele and increased risk of prostatitis symptoms (pavone et al, eur urol. 2000 apr;37(4):400 & lotti et al, j sex med. 2009 oct;6(10):2878). These were small retrospective studies, and the mechanism unknown. If you have signs and symptoms of prostatic infection, get evaluated as proper diagnosis & treatment are important.
