Sounds serious: Depending on your age, your state of health, when you had your last pap smear, pelvic exam and perhaps other issues and history, you must get checked out. Post coital bleeding is something that could be caused by a very serious condtion surch as cancer of the cerviix or the uterus. It may not evern be painful. Please get seen by your gyn and get cleared, treated or reassured.

Don't know.: Possible reasons for bleeding during or after sexual intercourse include: vaginal trauma, sexually transmitted disease, iud, cervical cancer, combination oral contraceptives (cervical erosion), endometriosis, vaginitis, ; adenomyosis. This requires medical evaluation.
