It can help: Due to its antiinflammatory properties. Anusol has a topical anesthetic and is usually for the gums and in combo may add some additional relief. Oral pain meds, aleve or ibuprofin are also winners. Consider MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) to prevent constipation which always makes hemmorroids worse. Goog ole preperation h is a good, inexpensive combination.

If you continue to have pain when the hemmorhoids are no longer inflamed there may be another cause (fissure, etc) If your pain persists more than a couple weeks go see your MD
