See how you feel: See how you feel in the morning. The key is drinking. If you are able to drink and feel ok and you are not coughing then school should be fine. If you are coughing or unable to drink then stay home and see a doctor.

You should..: ...Go to your doctor tomorrow and get a strep test. If the strep test is positive, you need antibiotics. If the strep test is negative, it's a virus that will run its course. Do not take antibiotics without a strep test. It's impossible to know with any certainty whether it's strep or not by looking at it...You need a test.

Likely have time: You have approximately 10 days from the first symptoms to treat strep A pharyngitis to avoid the long term complications of the disease. Consider yourself contagious with whatever it is for now and avoid direct intimate contact. Keep your distance while in public. If you have strep, you stop being contagious after a day on meds.
