Serious: Oh my gosh! please don't try to do this by getting advice from unknown doctors on the internet. You need to come clean with your prescribing physician about your actual use of Ativan (lorazepam) is and then work together to taper this down. This is a serious issue.

This is tricky: Brandsulli, this may not be something you can do on your own. Ativan (lorazepam) is short-acting; valium is long-acting. You may be able to use fewer valium/day and break them in half as you taper off. Bottom line: you need to talk to whoever is prescribing the Ativan (lorazepam) and look for something other than benzodiazepines to treat your anxiety. Ativan (lorazepam), valium and the like are for temporary use.
