Talk to your doctor: Any oral contraceptive can increase your risk of dvt, some more than others, and other part of your history (ie a personal history of DVT or genetic coagulation problems) are also factors. You should talk to your doctor about the best choice.

Maybe: As long as you have no risk factors for developing a clot- like smoking, overweight, family history, the pill is probably going to be alright; although, every pill has a very low risk of blood clots associated with it. If it makes you uneasy, than you should ask your gyn what are your other options for birth control other than the pill. Good luck.

Let me explain: Their report it risk of DVT (blood clot) and pe (blood clot in the lung) when using any medicated birth control. If I have any health problem (diabetic, smoking, obesity, hypertension, family history of blood clots, kidney disease and other problems) i will advise to stop it.
