Alli: It all depends on your definition of "safe". Diet changes are still key, so before considering any weight loss aide, make sure you are working on diet changes. Alli (orlistat) works by preventing absorption of fat which reduces calories. This can cause significant diarrhea, stool incontinence (accidents) when you eat fatty food. This encourages avoidance of fatty foods, but at a dear price.
