Midway down my back (between shoulder blades), my spine is swollen. not discolored, nor painful, just much larger than the rest of spine. what is it?

Let me explain: If it is in the midline area it could be a small lipoma, if on either side of the spine it could be from scoliosis (curvatures of the spine)? Good luck.
