Steam inhalation may help to facilitate drainage as well as eliminating the cold virus faster. Hot drinks, vitamin c, and vitamin d have been found to be helpful by many. Common cold is caused by viruses and there is no effective treatment other than these measures.

Yes and yes: Hoping you feel better. Antihistamines aren't really for colds, if that's what you have. Pseudoephedrine's helpful for a cold so long as you use only the recommended amount and only for a few days. Assuming you are otherwise healthy.
