VRET: Virtual reality exposure therapy is being used to assist military personnel with combat related post traumatic stress disorder. A behavioral health provider walks the patiet through visual & auditory re-enactmet of locations & scenarios that could occur in combat. It can be adjusted for amount of stimulation. It uses desensitization.
