Usually: Sjorgens is commonly DX with a lip bx, but if you have a lesion on your lip or some other abnormality of unknown cause, a bx of that area may also be warranted.

Lip ulcer: Lip biopsy are done for any unexplained chronic lip ulcer not responsive to medical therapy . It also done to diagnose cancer, sjögren's, sarcoidosis, bechet's disease don for non healing ulcerations on lips.
