As of now no: As far as i know no. There are currently many efforts to link vitamin d to many diseases but mot had not led to any clear cause and effect relationship

Yes it can: It has been described but it is unclear what effect it has on sle actvity. Studies have related to sle activity and development of sle . It has been suggested that repletion helps lupus. We know that vitamin d is involved in the immune response and thus one could speculate a role for vitamin d. I certainly want my patients to take vitamin d and have normal levels. I feel this may help.
