See doctor: Phenergan (promethazine) may be helping you more for nausea rather than dizziness. Consult an ENT physician for treatment.

Could be useful.: Phenergan (promethazine) is an antihistamine-antinausea medication. Rx Antivert or otc Meclizine have also found to be effective for the vertigo associated with inner ear maladies. These are anti-motion sickness medications. Also available is otc dramamine or dimenhydrinate which may prove useful, too. However, please see your otolaryngologist if symptoms do not improve quickly. Beware of an acoustic neuroma.
