Possibly: It depends upon whether the "tumor" is benign or malignant. Benign is much more common. Sometimes lab and x-ray tests can give hints as to which one it is. His doctor should be able to schedule the evaluation. The odds favor a benign adenoma, but work-up is necessary to decide.

Need labs: He needs to see his doc to make sure the tumor is not producing extra hormones. If non functioning, he just need to follow it with another ct to track changes. There are characteristics on the ct that can clue you in whether or not this could be something significant. Adrenal carcinoma is very very rare. See the doc to eval.
