Plumbing Fixes: Diet changes: get plenty fiber by eating fruits&veggies, whole grains, oatmeal, psyllium or flaxseed, metamucil. Drink 8-10 glasses of fluid daily. Take over the counter docusate, miralax, (polyethylene glycol) or bisacodyl. Good luck with your plumbing. Hope it helps.

Start with water: Make sure you get plenty to drink. Stool softeners and otc laxitives ate a good start...Sennakot and colace are my choices. Next i would try mag citrate or miralax. I would more up to Amitiza (lubiprostone) next. Finally there is an injectable drug (soon to be oral) called rellistor. This is exclusively for opioid induced constipation.
