Good clues!: Gulping food can also swallow lots if air that has to go somewhere! other gassy culprits: spicy foods, garlic, onions, "the magical fruit" beans, certain veggies (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli), artificial sugars (nutrasweet, splenda, sorbitol), caffeine, dairy. Increased fiber-although healthy-can make some of us gassy too.
