Difficult answer: It really depends on the details that i dont have. Once an acl is reconstructed we generally hope that it will last forever. However, another significant knee injury can retear it. If your acl was torn because of a significant injury then you may want to fix it again but restrict your activities afterwards. If it tore without any injury and within a year of surgery then consider a second opinion.
