Can happen: Any infection can cause pain. Lung, pleurisy and pericarditis can cause left sided chest pain.

Chest pain : Chest pain can be due to multiple reasons , with chest infection there is higher possibly of having infection of covering of lungs ( pleurisy ) but in saying that causes cannot be ruled out just because there is chest infection.
