LOW BLOOD VISCOSITY: BUN (blood urea nitrogen) can be elevated when one is slightly dehydrated prior to blood draw. As a general rule, one should drink approximately 1/2 l/day per 50# body weight. Since creatinine is a protein filtered by kidneys, try reducing blood viscosity or thickness by using an enzyme such as nattokinase or curcumin (tumeric), which is known to reduce fibrinogen, a blood thickening agent.

Hydration: Increase hydration by drinking plenty fluids and decrease protein intake. This is for someone with normal kidney function. If you have renal insufficiency consult your nephrologist.
