Usually mild: Both are very good antihistamines. Desloratadine: headache, upset stomach, dizziness, sore throat, dry mouth, muscle pain, extreme tiredness, painful menstruation. Levocetirizine: sleepiness, tiredness, weakness, sore throat, dry mouth, fever, cough, nosebleed.

Sedation: Both are antihistamines and are well tolerated, levocetirizine tends to be more sedating, although both can cause it. Minimal side effects except for dry mouth and eyes.
