Tongue numbness: Better question: why is your tongue numb? Unless it's totally numb, with no feeling at all, you probably won't do it any damage by eating or drinking, although you may want to avoid really hot liquids to avoid burning your tongue. However, numbness of the tongue is not normal and can rarely indicate something serious. If it persists, see a doctor!
