Many causes: You may have lymphedema where there is blockage of the lymphatic flow back to your heart. Some people with thyroid, heart and some adrenal gland problems can get this. It may be infectious as well. You may also have a more serious problem if it just started like a deep vein clot which can go to your lungs so very important to see your doctor asap.
