Inflammation : Cervicitis is inflammation of the cervix (the mouth of the womb). Vaginitis is inflammation of the vagina. Both may be caused by some irritant, usually bacterial, viral, protozoan or chemically related. This may or may not be related to some sexually transmitted infection.
