Going on a cruise soon and my period is due when ship docks at a remote island. i suffer very heavy periods & not on the pill. wat do i do to stop it?

You could start the : Pill but i would say your best chance is to minimize. Take 2 aleve (naproxen) 2 x per day 5 days prior to onset and look up a medicine called lysteda. This combo should reduce pain and bleeding well. You may benefit from a Progesterone to delay the cycle as well but talk to your doc. Gd luck.

See your doctor: Periods can be regulated and altered with oral contraceptives, however, that can be very difficult to achieve on short notice. See your gyn to discuss options.
