Usually normal: The average male has 15-20 mg/kg of creatinine excreted in urine over 24 hours. Creatinine comes from the normal breakdown of muscle that occurs daily. Increased creatinine excretion can come from an aggressive workout during the 24 hour urine. Also eating meat, muscle, can increase the excretion. Having larger muscle mass, arnold, also leads to increases in urine creatinine..

Here are 2 causes: Here are two possibilities: 1. You collected more than 24 hours' urine. This would most likely happen if you collected the first morning urine on both the starting and finishing day. 2. You have a large muscle mass. Creatinine is a muscle breakdown product, and people with large muscle mass excrete more creatinine in urine as a result.

Don't worry: Glad the blood work is normal. The reference range for 24 hour creatinine output is just the usual for out-of-shape people. You may have more muscle than the next guy, or you may have collected more than 24 hours worth of urine, or there may be a lab error. "treat the person, not the numbers.".
