Only inconvenient: Having irregular periods is a huge inconvenience. It may take years to establish a normal cycle, and some never do. This may create a difficulty when trying to get pregnant, so be sure to keep a period diary. If you would like to have a more controlled, predictable period, you may start birth control pills - in this case, we would call them period control pills!

Irregular periods ?: I guess you're worried about the irregular periods. This might be due to a 40 day cycle which would make you think you skipped a month. It could also be that you have 1 ovary that isn't releasing eggs. Since women tend to alternate sides on a monthly basis you would note a skip almost every other month. You should see a gynecologist for a complete hist + phys. Ultrasound may help w dx. Good luck, .
