Fiber: The undigestible part of the fruit, the fiber, is important also. Fiber is the material that allows the nutrients in food to be propelled through the digestive tract. If the only thing we ate were nutrients, there would be nothing to move those nutrients to the part of the intestines where each is best absorbed.
