A member asked:

Can antibiotics cause white stool? i've been using them for 2 weeks now.

Stool color: Antibiotics change the normal bacterial composition of our intestinal tract and can cause looseness of stool and due to the more rapid transit through the intestines, lightening of stool color often results. This usually causes tan color but white stool is unusual and suggests malabsorption of fats. Take probiotics and give your intestines time to normalize to see if normal pigmented stool returns
