How do they paralyze muscle wall during cholecystectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NM blockers: Intravenous neuromuscular blockers are given during general anesrhesia. They also paralyze breathing muscles, which is why you also have to be on a ventilator during surgery. "don't try this at home!".
