A 42-year-old member asked:
how long does it take for anitbiotics to get into the system?

Pediatric Surgery 44 years experience
Depends: Intravenous antibiotics get into the system rapidly with high blood levels. Oral antibiotics take 4-6 hours to get into the system and then several days to build up a functional blood level.
