Dr. James Chu answered

Insulin resistance?: These 3 symptoms are all non-specific and can be seen separately in many conditions. But, women with Insulin resistance syndrome and pcos, can show high WBC (increased inflammation), male-pattern hair growth and loss, as well as acne (high testosterone). This is increasingly more common in young women. A much rarer cause of these 3 symptoms is cushing syndrome from too much steroid hormones.
